25 - 26 October
The Australian Disc Golf Championships (ADGC) represents the culmination of the ADGTour year. For some this means tour points, standings and trophies, for others it just represents a great event at which to catch up with old friends and have a great time throwing some plastic. If players pick a single event to travel to each year, it is the ADGC which has consistently attracted the largest volume of interstate players. The fantastic facilities of the Sydney Olympic Park Disc Golf Course at Newington Armory welcomes all players of all skill levels to come an experience the best that Disc Golf in Australia has to offer. Take advantage of the on-course accommodation for a social Disc Golfing experience you won’t soon forget and the comfort of having all night to work on your game, bring those light up discs! Pre-register online now to ensure your place. ADG and Sydney Disc Golf Club welcomes you to the 2008 Australian Disc Golf Championships. Bring your game and don’t forget your National Bag Tags.
Says ADG - in charge of registration, fee collection, tour points, trophies etc
Now, SYDNEY DISC GOLF CLUB, in charge of running the event, lunch, accommodation etc, has this to add:
We have spent a lot of time improving/reversing/adding/changing/lengthening the holes previously played. Technically and mentally more challenging; a lot of OB-areas left, right, beyond and short of the targets.
To re-tee or nor to re-tee - that is not the question (in Open division) on some holes - it is mandatory! Other divisions will have drop zones but all that will be explained orally and visually. It will be a lot of interesting golf, that’s for sure!

DIRECTIONS TO THE DISC GOLF COURSE: in Newington Armory, Sydney Olympic Park.
If you didn’t know, Sydney Olympic Park is a vast area, so it’s easier to find and quicker NOT to follow signs for Sydney Olympic Park...
From the City or Blue Mountains: Western Motorway (aka M4), exit Silverwater Rd, head north, turn right onto Holker St at the 3rd set of lights.
From northern parts of Sydney; Victoria Rd to Ermington/Rydalmere, turn south onto Silverwater Rd, drive across the bridge and then left onto Holker St at the 2nd set of lights (after the bridge).
From south of the City; South Western Motorway (aka M5) to exit King Georges Rd. Follow that north. I changes name a few times but don’t worry, drive north and onto M4 west (towards Blue Mountains, away from the City). Get off at the next exit, Silverwater Rd, head north, turn right onto Holker St at the 3rd set of lights.
From Holker St: After three sets of lights, just after the prison, turn left onto Jamieson St (no traffic lights). Proceed as far as you can, park and head for the gate. Inside the Armory, follow main road straight and turn right after the last building on your right hand side. HQ 150 m up the hill.
