ADGTour 2012 PDGA Membership Requirement and Divisions
Written by Paul Arden
Tuesday, 03 January 2012
As of 2012, all ADGTour A-Tier events will require players registered in the Open and Advanced divisions to hold current PDGA memberships in order to enter and compete in the event. This decision has been made to ensure that, for players competing at these levels, there is a suitable mechanism by which to ensure placement of players into appropriate divisions for the fairness of the other players. This is an area on which ADG has received significant feedback from players requesting a definitive means of ensuring who should be in which division.

As described in the Membership Divisions  section of our website, male players holding a PDGA rating of 935 or greater and female players with a PDGA rating of over 800 are obligated to compete in the Open division. Players with a lower rating may still choose to compete in the Open division if desired.

ADG, through its partnership with the PDGA is able to offer discounted PDGA memberships to its players. These discounts are available only when registered through ADG on our Membership Website . ADG offers its International Membership which includes PDGA membership for just $30 per year for amateur players and $40 per year for professional players. If you are a new PDGA member you can add PDGA Membership Discs which includes a Disc and Mini for an extra $20 and also optionally a subscription to the PDGA Magazine for $55 more.

You must hold a current PDGA membership before competing in your first A-Tier event as an Advanced or Open player. For those who need to renew their membership please do so at our Membership Website  as soon as possible. Don't worry, we will recognise you as a renewal and you won't lose your existing ADG number. We submit memberships to the PDGA in batches, in order to ensure your membership is current prior to the start of the tour year, please renew your membership prior to Friday January 27th 2012.

Winners in each division of the ADGTour 2011 have received a free membership renewal including a PDGA membership, for those winners be sure not to renew twice!

Finally, a reminder for everyone to please advise ADG ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) if you will be changing your division for the ADGTour 2012 year since you must select your competing division prior to competing in your first event. In particular, please check your rating to see if you may be required to move up a division. Best of luck to all competitors in the coming ADGTour year.
