7th Annual Victorian Open

The Geelong and Melbourne Disc Golf Clubs are proud to announce the City of Geelong as host of the 2014 Victorian Disc Golf Open. This 7th annual tournament is one of the top events on the Australian tour and promises to attract some of the best disc golfers from around the country and abroad.

The tournament, which takes place from April 25th – 27th 2014, will see disc golfers descend on Geelong from all over Australia to compete on the challenging courses at Drysdale Recreation Reserve and Barwon Valley Park in Belmont.

This big weekend of disc golf will begin on Friday April 25th, with the Victorian Doubles Championship hosted at the new permanent Barwon Valley Disc Golf Course. This warm up event will be a fantastic opportunity to witness some of the best players in the southern hemisphere, as they battle it out in teams for the honour of Victorian Doubles Champion.

The official tournament will then kick off on Saturday 26th and be completed on Sunday 27th with competitors playing 3 rounds of the 18 holes on the demanding Drysdale course. The top four Open division disc golfers will then playoff in a final 9 holes to determine who will be the 2014 Victorian Champion. The event promises to be one of the largest A-Tier events on the 2014 Australian Disc Golf Tour.
