August is Disc Golf Month this year in W.A!

We start the month with the first Ace Race in the world for this year, on August 4th. This is the 10th Anniversary Ace Race, so we are expecting great things from Discraft this year. $35 will get you two prototype discs and other Discraft goodies. What goodies? We’ll find out in June or July, but with this being the 10th anniversary, it is sure to be good! You can register and pay here: http://www.perthdiscgolf.com/acerace
The following week is the  Perth Open, on the 10th-12th August. The premier Disc Golf event of the W.A. calendar, the Perth Open is being held at Perry Lakes Reserve this year, with a friendly doubles match on the Friday at Rob Hancock. Perry Lakes is one of Perth’s most popular parks, centraly located just minutes from the CBD, the popular shopping precinct of Subiaco, and the beach. Adjacent to the tallest point on the coastal plain (Reabold Hill), Perry Lakes was the site of the 1962 Commonwealth Games, and the 1979 World Scout Jamboree, and remains a landmark stop in the City to Surf Fun Run and Marathon. An exciting and novel course has been designed, and has both Open/Advanced tees and Rec/Women’s/Juniors tees, catering to all skill levels. Entry will cost $70 for Open divisions, and $40 for all others. You can pre-register here:
With one of the most fun disc golf events of the year, followed by the W.A. stop of the Australian Disc Golf Tour, why not make the trip and stay for a week of great disc golf?
