Unaware of the raging bushfires around the state, we battled the elements around Macquarie Uni – news reports spoke about wind gusts up to 100 km/h – the tree tops were swaying in different directions, the jet from the fountain watered half the course and the pond swallowed a dozen discs or so. As you can see I had to take a picture of just how windy it was, at least it wasnt raining! One of my overly optimistic drives were pushed down and made into a roller that made three 90 degrees turns; left, right, right pacman style. On the same hole, debutesse Rosie Suthers’s approach was a bit high and loose, landed and began to roll, turned around and rolled 15 metres backwards up the hill!
