Program Overview

The ADG Grants Program provides financial support for activities, infrastructure, and resources that advance disc golf across Australia. We’re committed to fostering growth, increasing accessibility, and strengthening communities through strategic funding aligned with our Disc Golf 2028 vision.

Grant Categories

Category 1: Events

Activities and competitions that introduce new participants to disc golf. Examples include school gala days, youth competitions, community introduction events, and women’s and junior development programs.

Category 2: Infrastructure

Physical improvements that create or enhance disc golf facilities. Examples include new course installations (partial funding), course improvements and expansions, signage and navigation aids, and practice facilities.

Category 3: Resources

Educational materials and tools that support disc golf development. Examples include teaching resources for schools, coaching materials, administrative tools for clubs, and promotional materials.

Important Note on Co-Funding: Grants will not cover the full cost of Category 1 (Events) and Category 2 (Infrastructure) projects. Applicants must demonstrate partial funding from State Disc Golf Associations, clubs, government grants, councils, or direct revenue from the activity.

Eligibility Requirements

Applications must be submitted by or with the support of a State Disc Golf Association

Where no state body exists, other clubs in the state must be made aware of the application

For Categories 1 & 2, partial funding from other sources must be demonstrated

The project must align with ADG’s mission of increasing participation and accessibility

The ADG Grant Program has provided funding for school programs across Australia.

How Applications Are Assessed

We use a transparent, objective scoring system to evaluate all grant applications. Your application will be assessed against six key criteria, each weighted according to its strategic importance:

Applications are scored out of 100 points total, with different outcomes based on your score.

Application Process

Step 1: Review the Guidelines

Download and review our Grant Assessment Guide to understand how applications are evaluated and what makes a competitive proposal.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

Download the application form and provide detailed information about your project, including objectives, timeline, budget, and community support.

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Email your completed application to grants@australiandiscgolf.com for consideration.

Applications are reviewed by the ADG Board and recipients are announced forthwith.

Step 4: If Conditionally Approved

If your application is conditionally approved, you’ll receive specific feedback on areas needing improvement and have 2-4 weeks to revise and resubmit.

Step 5: Complete Your Project & Report

Once funded, complete your activity and submit a final report documenting outcomes, participation, and impact.
