ADG’s Inaugural AGM + New Board of Directors

On Saturday 29th April 2006 a piece of Australian disc golf history was made.
ADG had its inaugural Annual General Meeting at Macquarie University, NSW.

One of the most exciting things to come out of the meeting was the announcement of the first elected ‘Board of Directors’.

Here is the new Board:

National Director – Richard Sampson
Secretary – Tim Marchbank
Director of Competitions – Paul Arden
Director of Development – Albert Munoz
Treasurer – Harvey Harnall

These five people will be working together with the intention of building a national body for disc golf who’s actions will benefit the game and the players.

The records just keep getting shattered with every Madd Macq’s Disc Golf event, this time we had the lowest handicapped score (Rodney Clark who blitzed everyone with a two round combined score of 96, congrats!) and the largest number of MM players (30). This time things were a little different, the second round was a modified version of the Macquarie Uni object course with some of the old homemade baskets emerging from the depths of the storage unit, thanks to Lee for setting the course up.

Guerilla Disc Golf 002

Another extremely hot day in Melbourne for the second Guerilla Disc Golf event. I think players are definitely looking forward to some cooler weather for the next event. I was armed with about 10 litres of water and assorted beverages as well as plenty of food, all of which was gone by the end of the day. Setup was relatively smooth this time with a few holes changing due to fallen trees and slightly more difficult tee placements (courtesy of Ian Bycroft).

MADD MACQ’S 008

All I can say is that setting up a course with the new M-14’s couldn’t be easier.  It took me half the time that it would have to set up the baskets and I was very grateful for that.
